This financial grant, up to $500, is given to the woman who is struggling financially and experiences the added burden of a crisis. The Helping Hand Emergency Fund could be used to pay for medical care, a car repair, an unanticipated childcare or school expense or another crisis.

Chosen awardees must have a history or proven record of making positive life choices for themselves and those in their care or understand what must be done to do so. This one-time grant cannot be given at the same time as our other awards. Grant payments are made directly to the supplier of services. As a result of the economic realities of single motherhood, the need for this award is steadily increasing.
