Each year, we enter the stone farmhouse of the late Pearl S. Buck, Nobel and Pulitzer prize winner, to participate in the Annual Festival of Trees competition and highlight the need for women’s and girls’ education. We join Bucks County’s best artists, decorators, and local community groups to bring the rooms of the author’s home alive with the glow of holiday decorations. Each and every corner of the house is filled with gorgeous decorated trees and vignettes to convey the spirit of Pearl Buck’s legacy as author, humanitarian, and activist. Visitors are given the opportunity to vote for their favorite display—as they did when they chose our décor as 2019 Best in Show. As one of the most unique and historic holiday traditions in the region, the Festival of Trees is both a delightful and enlightening event for the whole family.
